ROTC

This abbreviation for Reserve Officers’ Training Corps is acceptable in all references. Washington University students can enroll in Army ROTC or Air Force ROTC.

Until military policy changes, references to ROTC programs generally should be footnoted with the applicable portion of the University’s nondiscrimination statement: “Present Department of Defense policy governing all ROTC programs discriminates on the basis of sexual orientation; such discrimination is inconsistent with Washington University policy.”
